Quick overview

Recipetaa mainly uses browser storage, not tracking cookies, for kitchen tools.

Saved recipes and planning tools store data on the device and browser where you use them. Public browsing does not require an account. Google advertising technologies may use cookies or similar technologies when ads are enabled.

Technologies used

  • LocalStorage: remembers saved recipes, preferences, shopping lists, meal plans, and other choices you make in Recipetaa tools.
  • IndexedDB: stores recipe step photos you add using the supported recipe tools.
  • Session cookie: administrator sign-in security uses a short-lived cookie limited to the administration area. Public browsing does not need an account.
  • Google advertising: when enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to provide ads, measure performance, and help prevent fraud. Google’s own policies and consent tools apply.

These technologies are not all the same: browser storage holds data for site features, while cookies can be sent with web requests. Recipetaa does not currently configure visitor analytics.

Why they are used

Browser storage lets kitchen features work across visits on the same browser and device. It is not synchronized to your other devices. Server-side session cookies protect administrator access. Advertising technologies support Google ads where those ads are enabled.

Advertising and your choices

Google may show a consent message and offer advertising privacy choices based on your location. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google requires publishers serving ads to use a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The Recipetaa Cookie Preferences page does not replace Google’s certified consent message.

Use Cookie Preferences to open Google’s consent controls when available, or use Google’s My Ad Center. Your browser settings also let you block or clear cookies; blocking storage may affect saved kitchen features.

Manage or clear data

Open Cookie Preferences to reopen Google’s advertising consent controls when available. Clear browser site data to remove Recipetaa’s locally saved kitchen information. You can also clear supported Recipetaa kitchen data from My Kitchen. Clearing local browser data does not remove a newsletter registration held by the website.
