Most kitchen activity stays on your device.
Public browsing does not require an account. Saved recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, reading progress, and similar tools use storage in the browser on the device you are using. They are not synced between your devices. If you join the newsletter, your email and registration details are sent to the site’s newsletter system.
Information we handle
What we receive depends on how you use the site:
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, selected topics, consent record, and registration time are submitted to Recipetaa’s subscriber system so we can manage the list. Email campaigns and delivery are not currently configured.
- Saved kitchen features: saved recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, cooking progress, notes, preferences, and similar features are stored in your browser when you choose to use them. Recipe step photos may be stored in browser IndexedDB.
- Contact messages: your name, email, selected topic, and message are submitted through the Contact page and stored in a restricted administrator inbox so the team can respond. Do not include passwords or payment details.
- Server operations: the hosting environment may process technical request and security records to deliver and protect the website. Administrative sign-in uses a session cookie limited to the administration area.
Recipetaa does not create public visitor accounts or synchronize browser kitchen data across devices.
How information is used
Browser data powers the features you choose to use on this device. Newsletter details are retained as a registration record to manage the subscriber list. Technical records support site delivery, security, and administration. Recipetaa does not currently configure newsletter campaign delivery or visitor analytics.
Browser storage and cookies
Recipetaa primarily uses browser localStorage and, for recipe photos, IndexedDB. These are browser storage technologies, not conventional tracking cookies. Essential server-side administrator sessions use a session cookie and are limited to the administration area.
Public kitchen features can save information to this device when you use them. Clearing site data in your browser removes that locally stored information. See our Cookie Policy and Cookie Preferences.
Your choices and rights
- Use Cookie Preferences to open Google’s advertising consent controls when available.
- Clear saved kitchen data in the privacy section of My Kitchen. This clears Recipetaa data in this browser, including supported photo storage; it does not delete newsletter registration records.
- Clear site data in your browser settings to remove browser-stored information.
- For a newsletter record or other privacy request, submit a message through the Contact page. Contact messages are available to authorized administrators and are deleted when no longer needed to respond or maintain the service.
Privacy rights vary by location. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you.
Retention and security
Browser data remains until you delete it or clear browser site data. Newsletter registration records remain in the subscriber system until removed or no longer needed to manage the list. Contact messages are kept in the restricted administrator inbox until they are no longer needed to respond or maintain the service, then deleted by an administrator. Operational records are retained as needed for security and service operation. Access to administrative systems is restricted; no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Recipetaa is a general cooking website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information can contact us to request its removal.
